Explore Monroe Avenue

Every Rochesterian has their favorite Monroe Ave. establishment. But how often do you set out to explore the Avenue? The Show on Monroe is your annual opportunity to take in all that this vibrant, flourishing neighborhood has to offer. Dozens of Buskers create a party atmosphere with free performances throughout the afternoon. Bring the whole family down for a stroll and enjoy the big community lunch, a bike raffle, and games for all ages.

Taste of Monroe

There’s always something new at the Show on Monroe! This year, it’sTaste of Monroe – a Food & Drink Crawl featuring Monroe Avenue restaurants and bars. Starting at Noon, participating restaurants and bars will be offering specials just for Show on Monroe goers. Featured spots will be offering complimentary tastings of their specialty food and drink. Passports/Guides will be available at Marshall Street Bar & Grill and O’Callaghan’s Pub.

Spokes & Ink Bike & Poster Fest

Its own distinct festival, Spokes & Ink is a celebration of bike lovers and bike-inspired poster art. It’s a Monroe Ave mashup of cycling enthusiasts, local artists, cold beer, live music, unique vendors, and stuff for the kids. Explore printmaking, trick biking, and Paceline classes. There’s an extensive program of activities at Flower City Arts Center for this popular, long-running event.
