Area Activity Guide: Autumn Roots Festival

September 2017

Feeling Depleted?

Summer in Upstate New York is pretty much a party all the time. All that swimming, boating, traveling, and indulging can take a lot out of you. The South Wedge Mission might just have the answer with a brand-new festival with elements to replenish the mind, body, and soul. The 1st Annual South Wedge Autumn Roots Festival invites residents of the Wedge and all of Rochester to “Center, Commune, and Commit.”

Saturday, September 30th promises to be a day full of live, local music, spiritual exploration, community action, and sharing. Plenty of change-making organizations will be on hand, and you’ll have the opportunity to explore Tai Chi, Yoga, and guided mindfulness. You can expect to come away from this event with new connections, a new spiritual practice, and new ways to serve your local community.
