Prepare to be Dazzled!

The Sterling Renaissance Festival is back this summer for its 43^rd season! This New York State historical Fair offers something for everyone as they experience life in 1585 England, in a small country town outside of London. Fairgoers witness astonishing feats of swordplay, jovial comedy, magic shows, and more. Come for the finely crafted artisan wares and stay for the knights’ fiery joust. You can shop, feast, or play to your heart’s content in beautiful Warwick.

From encounters on the Lane to the Queen’s Daily Diversion, there’s a spectacle to be seen every which way you look. With four areas of the festival grounds each featuring four performance spaces, you’ll want to be everywhere at once! There’s the grand joust, of course. Sterling’s unique full-time acting troupe, The Wyldewood Players, present stage performances throughout each day, while others round out the top-notch lineup of Renaissance style acts, variety performers, and circus arts. For those who prefer their humor on the bawdy side, there are Filthy Irish Stories and Wildly Inappropriate Poetry. And don’t forget about the music!

To help you plan your perfect Renaissance day, the Sterling website features a “pick your itinerary” page. Choose the type of experience that you are hoping to have, and you’ll be offered a list of options laid out to fit your fancy. For example, if you are visiting The Fair with young children, you can choose a schedule that minimizes walking between activities. For a bawdier experience that starts a little later, pick Adult Option B.

Sterling Renaissance Festival spans 35 acres in the humble town of Warwick, NY. The whole town comes alive with merriment every Saturday and Sunday between July 6^th and August 18^th, rain or shine.
