An Artful Alternative

On a typical weekend, the Rochester Public Market might play host to a variety of wares. Most Saturdays, you’ll find fruits, veggies, clothes, and assorted ephemera. In May, Flower City Days bring everything a gardener could want, transforming the market into a pop-up garden center. And throughout the summer, a series of Community Garage Sale & Super Flea events invites vendors of every ilk to display collectibles, clothing, tools, bikes, sports equipment, and more. September’s annual Artist Row event is another metamorphosis — this one lasting just one day — in which an enormous juried art show takes over the sheds of the market.

The main attraction at Artist Row is the array of nearly 200 up-and-coming artists presenting their wares for the public to purchase. The 2018 event, however, will also feature a variety of local food trucks, free live music throughout the day, and community organization information booths. Head down to the market this weekend, enjoy summer’s last stand, and…dare we say…start your holiday shopping early!

Admission and parking is FREE!  

The 13th annual Artist Row will be held on September 16, 2018, from 10 am to 4 pm at the Rochester Public Market.
