Area Activity Guide: Bike-In Move

August 2018

A Cinema for Cyclists

If you’re feeling like Rochester has too few bike-friendly events, then it’s important to show your support at happenings designed specifically for the local cycling community. One of those is coming up soon in the fourth-annual Bike-In Movie at the Rochester Public Market. The Market works in partnership with the Rochester Cycling Alliance to offer this special event each year. Show up and express your appreciation to both the market and the Alliance, and catch an iconic bike movie with other Rochesterians who prefer people-powered transportation.

Flicks on the Bricks

On Friday, August 24, 2018 (7:00-10:30 p.m.) ride your bike (or a Pace bike share bike) to the Market for this year’s bike-in flick – 1986’s Quicksilver, starring Kevin Bacon. Prior to the film you can catch performances, grab some refreshments, and network with bicycle enthusiasts and advocates. There will also be free demos and other bike-related opportunities, including information about and registration for the Public Market’s Best Parking at the Market bike incentive/reward program.
