Area Activity Guide: Fashion Week of Rochester

October 2015

It’s time to see Roc Fashion Week for yourself.

Wondering what fashion week looks like in Rochester? You can find out next week. Now in its sixth year, Fashion Week of Rochester has grown from a 3-day event to a week-long series of 5 distinctive runway shows bookended by exclusive shopping experiences. The event was created in 2010 to bring awareness and financial support to The Center for Youth’s homeless programs. Last year’s festivities raised a quarter of a million dollars and contributed to the growing buzz surrounding this highly anticipated event.

Block off your schedule.

The fun at the 15,000-square-foot Tents on Main (across from the Sibley building) begins Tuesday, October 13th with a clothing swap on a grand scale. Each of five themed runway shows will transform the single venue starting Wednesday, culminating on the 17th with an aptly named “Saturday Night Fever” main event. To get your hands on featured fashions, arrive at City Grill between 10 am and noon Sunday, October 18th. It’s just $10 to join the boutique crawl that offers exclusive access to Fashion Week deals at featured boutiques.
