A Sunny One-Day Workspace

Are you among our lucky residents who have the flexibility to work from home? If so, you’re surely enjoying your freedom from the comfort of a workspace engineered just for you. Sometimes, though, even the most independent worker gets a hankering for some human interaction, be it for networking, inspiration, or camaraderie.

Though Rochester does have some popular coworking spaces, there aren’t an abundance of drop-in options to choose from. For those who prefer single-day commitments, the Rochester Brainery has created an opportunity to access a fresh workspace, enjoy the motivation of working in public, and mingle with other freelancers and geographically flexible individuals — Freelance Fridays.

Freelance Fridays aren’t just for freelancers, but they do only happen on Fridays. For $10 (and an in-advance registration) you can secure a space, a chair, wi-fi access, and good company from 9 am to 5 pm. You can bring your laptop or any other type of project you’re working on. If this sounds like something you need to check out, you can claim your space any time. Just be sure to show up; Freelance Fridays are transferable (with advance notice) but not refundable.
