So, Kickball is Over.

No matter how big a beer coat you don for Bills games, there comes a point when every Rochesterian is forced to embrace the necessity of indoor fun. Maybe you can put it off til March; most of us can’t. For that lonnnng season between lake time and road construction, there’s trivia night. Though there are no doubt hundreds of pub quizzes to be found throughout the greater Rochester area, this post aims to inform you of one super-reliable series: Geeks Who Drink.

Pub Quiz. Elevated?

There are a few reasons you might want to check out Geeks Who Drink. You can play on your own, bring a team of up to 6, or show up alone and make new acquaintances. There’s no commitment whatsoever. If it’s a weekday, there’s one going on somewhere. Just show up. The quiz, which is always different, consists of several themed rounds, two of them musical, and nearly 70 questions over two hours. The hosts are practiced, the prizes are quality, and there are usually a few free pints thrown in for fun. Topics vary dramatically. There’s usually no cover or cost to play, though players are encouraged to eat and drink to their hearts’ delight.
