Area Activity Guide: It’s a Wonderful, Handmade Holiday
November 2016
If you live in the South Wedge and haven’t heard of BASWA or aren’t sure what it’s all about, this weekend is the perfect opportunity to get acquainted. This organization dedicated to improving and promoting the South Wedge neighborhood is responsible for many of the amazing developments you’ve seen over the past several years. Among its productions is the 2016 combination of It’s a Wonderful Life in the South Wedge and A Handmade Holiday.
Before you travel, shop local!
Two simultaneous events will blend into one beautiful celebration of local commerce and creativity on Saturday, December 3rd. It’s a Wonderful Life in the South Wedge showcases the best of the shopping district with a decked-out Star Alley, holiday food and drink specials, a visit from Santa, games for all ages, musical performances, and activities designed just for kids. When you’ve tired of wandering the neighborhood, make stops at The German House and St. Boniface Church to peruse all the vendors at A Handmade Holiday. Local artists and makers will have their work on display for your holiday gift-buying needs.
