Celebrate Winter at Ontario Beach Park

So winter is a little warm this year. That will make it much nicer on the beach! Rochester residents and visitors from throughout the Finger Lakes region have been gathering at Ontario Beach Park for more than 30 years for the Lakeside Winter Celebration. This year, it’s perfectly timed on Valentine’s Day weekend.

Where? Port of Rochester Terminal and Ontario Beach Park

When? Activities for all ages can be enjoyed February 13th from 1 to 6 pm.
The polar plunge will take place at Charlotte Beach on February 14th at noon.
Frostbiter’s sailboat racing will also be held February 14th from 12 to 4 pm.

The festivities will include:

  • The Lake Ontario Wine and Craft Beer Festival
  • Chilly Chili Challenge
  • Ultimate Frisbee Challenge
  • Horse-drawn carriage rides
  • Dog sled demo
  • Outdoor children’s games
  • Ice sculpture demo
  • Snow sculpture contest
  • Winter hike: Port Terminal Building, 1 p.m.
  • Fireworks, 6 p.m.
