Spring is in the air, and one of the best ways to enjoy it is by being out in it and running!  And luckily, there are two great chances to do just that.  Next Sunday, May 17th, the Annual Lilac Run 5k and 10k are taking place on the final day of the Lilac Festival.  Runners of all ages and abilities are encouraged to come out and enjoy the crisp spring air, in which the wonderful lilac aromas will be floating.  That should make for one of the most pleasant runs you can imagine.  You can see all of the details and registration information here.

Then, six days later on May 23rd, the famous Color Run returns to Rochester!  Begun in 2011, the Color Run travels all over the country, bringing their unique take on road races from city to city.  The idea is that everyone wears white at the beginning of the 5k race, and at each kilometer, runners are doused with multi-colored paint.  At the end of the race, the finish line and surrounding areas are an incredibly bright, happy place to witness and be a part of!  On top of that, Color Run partners with local charities to give back to the community.  Come on out, help out those in need, and  get healthy and happy!  Further information can be found here.
