Park Ave is the place to be!

If you’re young and into the arts, entertainment, and food, Park Ave Fest might turn out to be your favorite Rochester festival. For many Rochesterians, it’s the not-to-be-missed event of the summer. Just check out these reviews. The heart of the festival (formally named the Park Ave Summer Art Fest) is the juried art show which draws more than 300 artists from throughout the United States and Canada. But interspersed throughout the incredible array of artistic creations (many one of a kind and for sale) you’ll find delectable treats and free entertainment by more than 60 performers! Though the Avenue’s many cafes, pubs, and restaurants will be open for business, the festival itself is family-friendly and alcohol-free.

A Showcase of Summer Shopping

As the home of Parkleigh and many other boutique shops, Rochester’s Park Avenue is a shopping oasis all year round. Park Ave Fest, however, transforms the neighborhood into a shopping mecca. Between Alexander Street and Culver Road, exhibitors fill the streets, which are closed to vehicle traffic. It’s a mile and a quarter of incredible browsing, shopping, trying, and taste-testing. You can take home original artwork at incredible prices, while at the same time finding perfect handmade gifts for giving throughout the year.
