Call for Submissions: RoCo 6x6x2017

January 2017

Are you an artist?

Are you not an artist, but really (okay, kinda) sort of wish you could be?

Have you never made anything in your life but would be willing to throw something together at a social event?

At RoCo6x6, it doesn’t matter!

Everyone from world-renowned professional artists to 2-year-olds and everyone in between can take part in this annual fundraising exhibition at Rochester Contemporary Art Center. People from all over the world submit original artwork each year, and then every piece is sold at the same price — $20 – with all proceeds benefiting RoCo.

Here’s how it works!

  • Each piece of art must be 6×6 inches or mounted to a 6×6-inch board.
  • Artwork can be 2- or 3-dimensional.
  • All artists remain anonymous until after artwork is purchased.
  • There’s a four-artwork limit per artist and/or school.
  • Entries must be received by April 16.

So Start Creating!

Submissions for 6x6x2017 are being accepted now through April 16th, and the earlier you get your artwork in, the better. So schedule one of those wine painting events with your best friends and very specifically sized canvases, and get to work! Express your creativity in the form of a shadow box, a digital photo manipulation, a finger paint, or whatever medium you can imagine, and this can be the year you become a publicly exhibited artist!
