Does making your own sausage sound complicated? Not with this recipe! Simply mix a few seasonings into ground turkey and you have a healthy and delicious sausage ready to go for breakfast, or anytime!

Homemade Turkey Sausage

1 lb ground turkey, 94% lean

2 tsp fennel seeds

1 large pinch each of hot chili flakes, cayenne pepper, and herbs de Provence

1 tsp poultry seasoning

1 tsp kosher salt

freshly ground black pepper

1 Tablespoon pure maple syrup

Using a mortar and pestle or mini food processor, grind spices together. Add spice mixture to turkey, along with maple syrup. Mix until thoroughly combined. Form into thin patties, and saute in olive oil over medium heat until cooked through.
