One of the many wonderful things about living in the South Wedge is the South Wedge Farmers Market.  Well, get ready…it’s almost time for it to reopen for the season!  This year (the Market’s ninth), it will run from June 12th through October 16th.  OK, so that seems like a long time from now, but it will be here before you know it.  As soon as the weather gets consistently nice, the days just seem to fly by, so early June is just right around the corner!

This year, the Market will be open from 4PM to 7PM on Thursdays.  And, since you’re a resident of South and Hickory Place, it’s less than a half-a-mile away!  You can walk there with no problem, as it’s just a couple of blocks.  And biking is always an option, too.  So come June, you’ll be right around the corner from tons of fresh, locally-grown (everything comes from within 100 miles or fewer) produce and products.  You can visit the South Wedge Farmers Market website for updates on upcoming events, community recipes, and a full list of current vendors – everything from fruits and veggies, to gluten-free baked goods, to craft beers, wines, and spirits, to cold-processed, pesticide-free soaps!  So come on out this summer and experience the local treasure that is the South Wedge Farmers Market!
